The nortinia.com website uses cookies to operate the site, improve user experience, and measure traffic. Below we describe which cookies we use and how you can control them.
2. Consent and cookie management
Cookies that are strictly necessary (functional) for the website to operate are placed without consent, on the basis of the provision of the service and our legitimate interest. All other cookies — in particular statistical/analytics and advertising cookies — are placed only after the visitor's prior, active and category-by-category consent, requested via the cookie banner shown on the first visit.
In the cookie banner the visitor may accept or reject each cookie category separately; rejection is as easy as acceptance, and refusing non-essential cookies does not restrict access to the site. Consent can be changed or withdrawn at any time, with effect for the future, via the cookie settings menu; we record the fact and time of consent.
Legal basis: for strictly necessary cookies, the operation of the service and our legitimate interest; for non-essential cookies, the visitor's consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and the ePrivacy rules). Where certain cookies transfer data outside the European Economic Area (e.g. some advertising or analytics providers), the safeguards described in our Privacy Notice apply.

Web analytics cookies: analyse visitor behaviour — Google Analytics, Hotjar.

6. Cookie lifetime and data retention
The lifetime of individual cookies varies by type: session cookies expire when the browser is closed; webchat cookies last up to 13 months; statistical and advertising cookies up to 12 months; the voice-mode consent cookie remains on the device for 365 days (see Section 9). In addition, we retain the record of consent on the basis of our legitimate interest for evidentiary purposes.
Data collected via cookies is processed by Nortinia and the operator Mediaorigo International Ltd. for a period corresponding to the lifetime applicable to the given cookie, but no longer than 12 months, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
7. Data security
Nortinia does not store login identifiers or passwords via cookies. Data processed via cookies is protected against unauthorised access and abuse by reasonable technical and organisational measures. Our services are not directed at children under 16; we do not knowingly place non-essential cookies on a child's device.
8. Reviewing and blocking cookies
Consent for non-essential cookies is managed primarily via the website's cookie banner and the cookie settings menu (Section 2). In addition, modern browsers also allow you to block or allow cookies; however, this is a supplementary option and does not, on its own, constitute the giving or withdrawal of consent. Please note that if strictly necessary cookies are disabled, some website functions will not work correctly.
9. Voice mode (Nortinia AI microphone)
When the visitor starts the Nortinia AI assistant's voice mode and grants microphone access, Nortinia places a so-called consent cookie in the browser. The cookie records a single fact: that the visitor has explicitly enabled microphone access in the user interface, so consent does not have to be re-confirmed on every page visit or when navigating between Nortinia-family subdomains.
Technical parameters of the cookie: name — nortinia-voice-consent:<tenant-id>; value — 1 (i.e. "consent granted"); validity — 365 days; scope — placed on the Nortinia family eTLD+1 apex domain (.nortinia.com / .netorigo.com / .travelium.hu) so it persists across subdomain navigations; security attributes — secure, samesite=lax.
The consent cookie does not personally identify the visitor, does not record IP addresses, is not shared with third parties, and is not used for marketing or advertising. It qualifies as a functional (strictly necessary) cookie for the comfortable re-use of voice mode. Consent can be revoked at any time in the browser's cookie settings: once the cookie is deleted, the consent prompt appears again on the next microphone click.
