Private cloud platform without vendor lock-in

NIP Platform’s private cloud layer is hardware-agnostic and hypervisor-pluggable: pick KVM, ESXi or XCP-ng, and run it in your own data centre or a leased colo. Automated provisioning, snapshot and backup management and a full audit log deliver GDPR- and EU-sovereign-cloud compliant operation. Your data never leaves your physical storage, and vendor lock-in is structurally closed off — open standards and open data formats throughout.

What it does

Hardware-agnostic: deployable on any x86_64 / ARM server
Hypervisor-pluggable: KVM, ESXi, XCP-ng, Hyper-V (beta)
On-prem or colo deployment — data never leaves
Automated provisioning, snapshot, backup and migration
Audit log of every infrastructure event, EU-region storage
Disaster recovery in active-passive and active-active modes
GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2 and EU-sovereign-cloud compatibility

How people use it

Financial-sector data sensitivity

A mid-size bank or insurer cannot put its sensitive systems (core banking, customer database) on public cloud. NIP Platform runs in your own data centre, data never leaves your physical storage, and a full audit log resolves to a CSV export for MNB, NAV or EU Banking Authority audits.

Government infrastructure

A ministry or municipality can only run citizen-data systems in EU-bound, controlled data centres. NIP Platform delivers an EU-sovereign-cloud foundation with EU-region deployment, multi-tenant isolation and an NIS2-compliant audit log — full control, full compliance.

Healthcare data (HIPAA, MIS)

A hospital or clinic must handle patient data under HIPAA-equivalent Hungarian MIS standards. NIP Platform runs EHR and PACS systems on its on-prem servers, and logs every access to patient data — psychiatric and oncology records are encrypted at rest by default.

EU sovereign cloud

A European SaaS company increasingly hears clients ask for EU-bound storage, outside the US Cloud Act. NIP Platform meets that with EU-territorial deployment under an EU legal entity — and the partner contract can spell out in black and white that data never falls under US jurisdiction.

Frequently asked

Can we reuse our existing hardware?

Yes — and this is the typical starting point. The Nortinia team audits your current hardware (CPU architecture, RAM, storage, network) and installs NIP Platform on top if minimums are met. Where you have older servers (5+ years) we suggest a partial refresh, but a full replacement is rare.

How do we migrate from existing Google / AWS?

Migration runs in four phases: (1) workload inventory and capacity mapping (2 weeks), (2) parallel NIP environment build (3-4 weeks), (3) workload migration (4-6 weeks depending on data volume), (4) cut-over and public-cloud teardown (1 week). The Nortinia team owns the whole project and offers fixed-price contracting.

How is disaster recovery handled?

Active-passive DR: a replicated NIP cluster at a secondary site, RPO < 15 minutes, RTO < 30 minutes. Active-active DR: two sites running synchronously, RPO ~ 0, RTO under 5 minutes. Nortinia runs quarterly DR drills, and the results land in the management audit pack.

Which compliance standards are supported?

NIP Platform deploys on ISO 27001-certified data-centre practices, is ready for SOC 2 Type II, is calibrated for GDPR and ships with an NIS2-compatible audit log. For healthcare we provide a documentation pack compatible with Hungarian MIS and EU MDR systems.
